I joined the Marist club in 2018 after spending 5 years as a Rugby Development Officer with the Auckland Rugby Union.
My role includes coaching, club coach education, overseeing the player registration process, exploring new growth areas, and managing player and coach recruitment and retention. I focus on ensuring the club’s on-field rugby performances are always improving and our player experience is something that is valued.
I am also responsible for the implementation of Marist, ARU and NZR tournaments which take place at our home ground in Tamaki.
Recently, my role has expanded to community relationships and council communications which are important areas in our rapidly changing Tamaki community.
It’s a role that takes on so many different aspects but it keeps it interesting. Every day is different from the last that’s what I find enjoyable. These are changing times for Rugby. As a Club we are focused on making the rugby experience for everyone as enjoyable as possible.
